New Gaga Ball Court

Gaga ball is a very popular sport at Canterbury Hills Camp. It's a form of dodge ball played inside a contained area. At camp, this game has been played in Lion's Hall with benches acting as boundaries. It's a simple and fun game that everyone can play and all ages enjoy.

But it's time for gaga ball to move out of Lion's Hall and into a brand new outdoor gaga ball court. What's that?!! A new gaga ball court?!! Yes, our hope is to have it built and ready for our Open House in May. But first we need to raise the money. So every pledge received by our Canterbury Hills Camp team in the Road2Hope Walk/Run (Nov. 5) will get us closer to our new gaga ball court which will cost approximately $1500 to build.

See examples of Gaga ball courts at other camps. But if we work together walking and running in the Road2Hope, we can post pictures of our very own court this spring. Anyone who thinks Canterbury Hills Camp is a great place can join our Road2Hope team.

Our court will be made of wood like our other initiative elements on site. The location will be next to the tree line along Lion's Road, near the "Bermuda Triangle" element and the pool. This is a shady area that will shelter gaga ball players from the summer heat. If we meet our fundraising goal and build this court, it will be a favourite camp activity most every day in the summer of 2017.
