About Canterbury Hills
Canterbury Hills Camp is an Ancaster based summer camp that has been operating for over 60 years. Situated amidst the beautiful Dundas Valley, our camp property offers opportunities to explore and learn from the Carolinian forest that surrounds us. Our unique camping experience provides a space for children and youth to build community, engage in experiential learning and increase environmental awareness. Camper groups are given the opportunity to plan their schedules for the week based on their personal preferences and unique ideas, making every week at camp new and exciting! We are grateful for our partnership with the Hamilton Conservation Authority that enables us to have the full use of 72 acres of the Carolinian forest.
Canterbury Hills operates summer camp programs for youth ages 6-16, with options of Day Camp, Bridge Camp, Overnight Camp, Adventure Camp and Leader in Training programs.
Mission Statement
Canterbury Hills creates inspiring and engaging experiences that develop leadership skills, confidence, and resilience in a safe and inclusive environment. Immersed in nature, we experience God in and around us and build community values.
Christian Community & Discovery
Canterbury Hills Camp is owned and operated by the Anglican Diocese of Niagara. Canterbury Hills is excited to invite campers of all faiths and religious backgrounds to participate in our camping program, and there is no religious requirement for campers or staff to attend our program. Our nurturing environment provides the support needed for campers to explore their own spirituality, develop their self-esteem and enrich their faith. We explore themes such as love, trust, friendship, caring for the environment, gratitude and community- through skits, activities, songs and prayer before meals. At the end of each session the entire camp joins together for the Eucharist celebrated in the Anglican tradition. LEARN MORE
