Introducing Emily Lloyd, Camp Director of Canterbury Hills Camp 2019
Many will recognize Emily Lloyd from RT (Resource Team) in 2015 through to 2017 or from her previous years of being an Overnight Leader at Canterbury. Highly recommended by our previous Camp Director, Lance Wright, Emily comes well certified to serve our campers and staff, particularly with her recent work as a Personal Support Worker and mental health first aid with a specialization in youth. Her emphasis on wellness for campers and staff alike is an added dimension for us all.
Emily brings a balance of wisdom and enthusiasm to engage the new as well as the returning camper. Similarly, her priority in developing leadership skills in all ages of campers and staff is an exciting challenge. Her faith-based background promises a rich experience for all. She is keen to support the staff in offering creative programs while building skills and confidence. Emily invites new and returning young adults to join her and the RT staff as they begin planning a summer of memory-making experiences. At the same time, she urges parents to register early to avoid disappointment.
The Board of Directors welcomes Emily as she leads us into a promising and exciting year of camping at Canterbury Hills.
